Electric vehicle charging system
The electric vehicle (EV) charging system is a solution which, in addition to the actual charging station, includes the back-end system and the data it generates.
PlugIt Finland offers EV charging systems in the form of comprehensive turnkey solutions. The smart EV charging systems, built to the customers' requirements, consist of much more than "just" charging devices.
The EV charging system includes:

The project begins with a survey of the property
The first stage in planning the delivery of a charging system for an existing property is a survey, in which the electrotechnical resources of the site, and the different methods of implementation, are ascertained. On the basis of the survey, PlugIt compiles a cost estimate for the overall investment.
The overall investment of a charging system is typically divided into three parts: HVAC work, excavation work and charging system costs.
Composition of charging station and location
The charging station comprises the charging devices / poles of the area, and of the charging centres inputting them. The placing of the charging station is selected typically either from a marketing point of view or on the basis of cost effectiveness.
PlugIt's EV charging systems are built on the bais of the OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) standard concerning devices. Devices supporting the OCPP standard communicate specifically with the back-end system. Different makes of devices conforming to the OCPP standard should be connected to the same back-end system.
Construction of a charging station requires that electrification be drawn close enough to the desired charging sites. In the case of older properties, the first challenge is typically in locating an electrical centre with sufficient capacity for the EV charging station input cabling.
Back-end system brings intelligence
PlugIt's IoT Cloud back-end system acts as the storage centre for device charging- and user interface data. The back-end system user interface can be modified according to the customer's wishes, and if required can be integrated into their own data systems. The back-end system and user interface enable a company to integrate the charging of EVs as part of its own business, or if required, enable its external operation.

When selecting an EV charger, the application of the device should be taken into account - thus the right charger can be selected for the right place.
PlugIt offers a back-end system, specially designed for charging devices, which allows the user to take full advantage of the smart charger.
Regular servicing and maintenance of the devices guarantees the efficient operating capacity of the charging system.
