Installation of an EV charging device is income tax-deductible
Remember to include the EV charging device installation work in your tax return.
The installation of a fixed EV charging device is always worthwhile, since it is the safest and most practical alternative for charging a car. The work carried out during installation of an EV charging device is now tax deductible on your annual tax return.
The excess payable on such tax deductions is 100 euros per calendar year. This excess is deducted only once per calendar year, regardless of the amount of deductible work carried out.
The maximum tax deductible amount is 2 400 euros per person per calendar year, and is specific to the individual, which means that a couple can claim a deduction based on 4 800 euros. Tax deductible claims are per calendar year, and should be made in the same year as when the work was carried out and paid for.
